CITIZEN COMMITTEE CONDUCTS SEVERAL HUMAN RIGHTS AWARENESS PROGRAMME IN MANNAR RESETTLED VILLAGES
On 18-03-2012 Mannar citizen Committee conducts Citizen Rights awareness Programme at Kungikulam Village in Mannar District. This village is an ancient old village which is having a hanging bridge to cross when Aruvi aru is on spade during rainy season.
Several learnered Lawyers conducted this programme as Resource personal and Group Discussion was held,
On 25-03-2012 Documentation Mobile Service will be conducted by Cit Com at Irranai Illupai Kulam ,which is a remote & border village of Mannar District at Madhu AGA division.
Ast District Registrar, AGA Madhu, JP. GSN, and Several Govt Officials will participate at this Mobile service, Birth, Death, & Marriage certificates will be issued to those public, who failed to obtain them due to their displacement to Mullaiotivu district, and to those who lost most of their documents at their displacement during the past war.
On 31-03-2012 Another Awareness programme will be conducted At Thalaimannar Village mostly to those who have recently arrived from Indian refugees camp to Mannar. So far more than 200 families have arrived by UNHCR & on their own passage to Srilanka ,as peace & calm is prevailing in Srilanka.
Several families have lived in India, Tamilnadu for more than 15-25 years have arrived. Their children have born and married at India. They will have to register their birth, Marriage & Death in Srilanka too. This will be facilitated by Mannar Citizen Committee.
At Cit Com last two Mobile service conducted at Alkatively & kalliaddy in the Manthai West AGA division more than 350 people have given their application for registration of Birth, Death & Marriage. thus Mannar Cit Com facilitate humanitarian services to the War affected public
